CHESTER ENLIGHTENMENT ACADEMY
TRANSITIONAL SCHOOL

OVERVIEW
An early educational therapeutic and behavioral model for young students in grades K-6th experiencing significant difficulties with appropriate behavior that impedes their ability to take advantage of their regular education program. These students are referred and identified by CUSD’s Special Education department. Each student receives individual counseling and therapeutic group sessions led by licensed social workers. The goal of this program is to reengage and prepare these students for a successful return to their sending school, promotion, and beyond.

CHESTER ENLIGHTENMENT ACADEMY STUDENT QUOTE

“As a new teacher to the Camelot Program, I am extremely impressed with the amount of support that my students and I have received. The amount of pride and dedication that our support staff demonstrates reflects positively on the culture of the student population. Students are eager to come in and parents are pleased with the overall goals that have been met so far. The individual needs of our students are met on a daily basis by the teachers and support staff as well. I am proud of the progress that we have made as a team and look forward to seeing the growth of our new program this academic school year.”
