Chester Upland Academy operates as a specialized model designed to offer three separate programs at one school location in partnership with Chester Upland School District.
Accelerated is an accelerated program for students in grades 9-12 who have been identified by CUSD as at risk of dropping out. The program provides the opportunity for students who are overage and under-credited to graduate in 2.5 years or less.
Transitional is an Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth program for students in grades 6-12 who have been removed from their sending school for serious behavior infractions. The goal is for students to return their home campus with improved behavior, attendance, and academics.
Enrichment is an educational therapeutic and behavioral model for students in grades 7-12 experiencing significant difficulties with appropriate behavior that impedes their ability to take advantage of their regular education program. Students are provided a program at a separate Camelot campus that offers students smaller classes and more individual attention in a nurturing environment so that they may achieve success. to be placed in a special education setting.

Accelerated is an accelerated program that services over aged, under credited students identified by CUSD as serious risk to drop out.
Transitional is an Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth program servicing grades 6-12 that have been removed from their sending school for serious behavior infractions.
Enrichment provides services to Severely Emotional Disturbed (SED) and/or emotional disorder to student’s grades 9-12 that are considered sufficient enough to be placed in a special education setting.
Accelerated – Students are recommended for the accelerated program by Chester High Administration.
Transitional – Transitional Students go through a hearing and are recommended to program for serious infractions of the Chester Upland School Policies.
Enrichment – Enrichment students are referred by school district’s child study team (Special Ed team).
Opportunity to participate in the following:
*Students service coordinator will track all graduates for six months after graduation to ensure follow up on goals.
*All students will have post-secondary goals prior to graduation.
