Delco Academy serves students of Southeast Delco School District in grades K-12 who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. Delco Academy fosters a therapeutic classroom environment and emphasizes the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child. Delco Academy utilizes a behavioral modification system that includes positive rewards to cultivate positive leadership skills and increase pro-social behaviors. Delco Academy follows Southeast Delco School District’s rigorous academic model and school district calendar. Students are provided smaller classes and more individual attention in a nurturing environment so that they may achieve success.

Students must be referred by the Special Education Coordinator from the Southeast Delco School District. Students and families must participate in an orientation, where the clinical director provides an intimate overview of the program expectations, norms, and therapeutic techniques. Enrollment paperwork is completed during orientation and then transportation is scheduled for the student. The student enrolls the first day he or she attends classes. Parents/guardians should bring photo identification, proof of address, and a copy of the students’ social security card.
