OVERVIEW
KAPS Academy of Escambia County serves students in K-5 who are experiencing significant difficulties with appropriate behavior that impedes their ability to take advantage of their regular education program with an early educational therapeutic and behavioral model. Students are classified as ED. Students are provided a program at a separate Camelot campus that offers smaller classes and more individual attention in a nurturing environment so that they may achieve success.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS:

Students must be referred by the Alternative Education Department of Escambia County. Students and families participate in an orientation (offered weekly), where the team leader provides an intimate overview of the program expectations and norms. Enrollment paperwork is completed during orientation and then transportation is scheduled for the student. The student enrolls the first day he or she attends classes. Parents/guardians should bring photo identification, proof of address, and a copy of the students’ social security card.
