The Camelot Academy Middle School Team

The most unique venue for a Camelot graduation this year had to be the one at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies.

About 40 8th grade students from Camelot Academy transitional program celebrated the completion of middle school with an awards ceremony at the stadium, a great event for students and their families.

Congratulations to executive director Maurice Kelley and his team for putting this special event together. Many parties are held at the stadium but the staff there tells us this is the first “graduation” ceremony to take place there. Yes! Another first for Camelot!

Most of the graduates will transition back to mainstream Philadelphia high schools with a few of the students staying with us a while longer, moving up to the Camelot Academy high school.
